You and your team are the tour guides for the visiting delegates from Great Britain. They have never visited our nation’s capital and would like to see some of the many historical places and artifacts the city holds.  You will create a visual presentation of your tour to show to a board from the city’s tourism office for approval.   In addition, you will use this information to prepare a guide for the delegates with a brief history of the city itself and the monuments, memorials, museums you will see and any interesting facts about the people, places, or things you visit.

Your tour Guide Handout should include:

  • A very brief summary of the city.
  •  At least seven (7) monuments and/or memorials.
  • The buildings for each of the three branches of government.
  • A map of your tour route.

 Your presentation should include:

  • A brief history of the city.
  • Information on all three branches of our government.
  • An overview of the sites included on the tour.
  • Pictures of the city and monuments.
  • A map of the city.
